"We
are
thrilled
that
Bill
Gaither
will
be a
part
of
the
2008

and
we
look
forward
to
the
performances
of
the
Gaither
Vocal
Band
and
Ernie
Haase
&

Beasley
stated.
"As
thrilled
as
the

I
know
our
attendees
and

will
be
even
more

on
September

"It's
no
secret
that
I
love
Southern
Gospel
Music,"
Gaither
commented.
"It's
an
important
part
of
my
childhood
and
my
musical
heritage,
so
naturally
there
are
few
things
that
warm
my
heart
quite
like
hearing
four
singers
and
a
piano
rev
it
up!
In
my
mind,
the
only
thing
better
than
a
great
gospel
quartet
is a
whole
week
full
of
them!
So
I'm
looking
forward
to
the
opportunity
to
participate
in
the
National
Quartet
Convention
with
great
anticipation.
It
is
always
a
wonderful
time
to
hear
lots
of
great
quartet
music
and
connect
with
old
friends.
This
year
will
be
great
fun,
as
well,
because
The
Gaither
Vocal
Band
will
be
joining
up
with
Ernie
Haase
&
Signature
Sound
to
sing
some
of
the
songs
from
our

which
truly
fulfills
my
belief
that
two
quartets
are
better
than
one!"

Rex Humbards Funeral ... A Note from Ernie
As many of you know a wonderful man of God went home last week to his eternal rest. The Rev Rex Humbard. Rex was founder and pastor of one of the the first "Mega" churches in America ...... The Cathedral of Tomorrow in Akron Ohio. |
Rex was a pioneer when it came to TV. He was the first to broadcast his church services all over the world starting in the early 50's when TV was just starting to be a common thing in households.
To read the story about his service click on this link to the Washington Post
I had the blessing to attend this service with my family and pay our respects. And we had much respects to pay! Back in 1964 Rex called my father in law George Younce who at that time was not singing and really down on his luck and not as close to the Lord as He once was. George told me that Rex took a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to have a fresh start. George moved his family to Stow, OH and started singing bass in Rex's group The Cathedral Quartet with what would be his long time friend Glen Payne and the rest is history.
Thank God for the life and ministry of the man who touched millions through his personal touch and love for souls.
At the funeral many wonderful things were said by Bill Gaither, Benny Hinn, Wayne Jones, Richard Roberts and wonderful hymns were sung by the Gatlin Brothers along with Bill on the bass and even letting me help out on the tenor.
As so many great men have proved .... ones ministry out lives them .... Rex is still touching lives and we are so grateful to have known him!
To read more about this amazing man and his story click here www.rexhumbard.com I highly recommend you do.

Frankie Mills in Orange shirt & David |
We will say more about it later but EH&SS would like to welcome to our family Frankie Mills as our product manager. Frank is a long time friend and has traveled with us these past few years from time to time. However, as of last week (June 14th) it is official........ He is our product manager. Be sure to welcome him to our family when you come to one of our concerts. You can't miss him he is tall and has kinda big ears (sorry frankie) and most of all HE IS A HOOSIER AND CAN PLAY BASKETBALL! In other words He is one of us.
He's in the picture above wearing the orange shirt and standing with David Griffith. We will have more pictures up later to introduce you to him and his sweet family.
Also, Now this sounds like a promotion and it should ..... our own David Griffith is now officially the EH&SS Production Manager!"
This is nothing you may need to know but I feel we owe it to Gritt to give him his props!
David has been working so hard behind the scenes learning on the fly how to run sound, interacting with promoters and venues, fronting dates and a lot of things that make it all work that he has earned this position. David is still driving the bus but with all these duties we are now looking for a "Full Time" driver to relieve David of this important task.
Spread the word ...... anyone who might be interested in the new opening can inquire by contacting us at eteam@erniesigsound.com.
To all our friends who ask how to pray keep praying for the right MAN to drive (no ladies.... sorry) and to be apart of our team. In time it will all work out I am sure.
In Closing thanks for all the love and support ..... God is blessing and we are grateful for His great love for all His children.
In Christ,
Ernie |

A word From Ernie ......
Words cannot describe the feeling of gratitude that we have for the gift of Gordon Mote. He is a true friend and has moved his whole summer around just to be with us and help us out this summer.
For more info about Gordon Mote click here and read his bio page ... it is very moving.
As we move forward I am getting calls from many friends who want to come out and "surprise" you and help us this summer. I will not say much more about it except to say "Stay Tuned!" We are so "Pumped" at what God is doing for us ..... The best is yet to come!
Thanks for your prayers,
Ernie and the boy

Roy
Webb
releases
solo
project
SoGospelLovers |
One of Southern Gospel Music’s most talented pianists, Roy Webb, pianist for Ernie Haase & Signature Sound recently released his debut solo recording, YOU RAISE ME UP. The recording is a compilation of several of Webb’s favorite songs. “This is something I have been wanting to do for quite some time, and I’m thankful I finally had the opportunity,” Webb says.
YOU RAISE ME UP contains classic hymns, as well as several praise and worship songs, including Roy’s all-time favorite, Above All. “Lenny LeBlanc came to my church about nine years ago,” Webb explains. “He sang several songs everyone knew and then the words to this song popped up on the two large screens on each side of the stage. It was a song he and a friend had just written. The song spoke to my heart. From the first time I heard it to now, it is my favorite praise and worship chorus...ever!”
In addition to Above All, the recording contains the title cut, as well as hymns, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, Wayfaring Stranger, Tell Me The Story Of Jesus, Softly And Tenderly, Just A Little Talk With Jesus and I Surrender All. With each selection, Webb’s exceptional musical ability shines brightly. Webb’s energy and enthusiasm is most evident on this recording, just as it is each time this extraordinary pianist steps onto a concert stage with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound “Every night I’m on stage with Signature Sound I can’t believe I’m actually doing this for a living,” Webb shares.
The 36-year-old Dayton, OH, native started playing piano at the age of 16, yet continues to strive to perfect his talent. He studies piano at the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, which allows him the opportunity to study a wide variety of musical stylings. This diversity is reflected on YOU RAISE ME UP. “What A Friend We Have In Jesus has a real jazz feel. The Swing Low Medley has a blues feel, and I Surrender All has a very simple, traditional arrangement. We tried to include something for everyone,” Webb says.

will
humble
themselves

pray,
and
seek
my

turn
from

then
I
will

from

“At

We
