Changes
for
SSQ
|
 |
It is with sadness and regret that I announce the departure of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound lead singer, Ryan Seaton.
I wish Ryan & your family the very best in his personal and professional pursuits, wherever they may lead him.
Ryan you will be missed. |
| Devin Welcome to SSQ. |
Devin’s debut with us will be on January 15, 2010 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at our “Dream On” concert featuring The Collingsworth Family – our first performance after Christmas break. We’re really thrilled to be headlining our own show throughout next year.
“To say I’m excited is an understatement,” said Devin. “Ernie and I have been great friends for years. I’ve always had a lot of admiration for him as a singer and as a person, and he has always encouraged me. Words cannot express how wonderful I feel about this opportunity for my career and my family.”
A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Devin is 27 and lives in Kinston, North Carolina, with his wife Karen Ham McGlamery and their children, Karlyn and Preston.
“I want to thank Karen Peck so much for everything over the last five years,” said Devin. "She let southern gospel music get to know the real me, and she let me be who I am. For that and many things, I will always be grateful. I’m really looking forward to the next part of my calling and my journey with Ernie and the group.”
I thank God for the opportunity to work with Devin and am grateful to Karen and Susan Peck for their graciousness. Please join me in giving a warm Signature Sound welcome to Devin, and keep Ryan and his dear family in your prayers!
As always, your support and understanding is SO valued and appreciated.
I have more on Devin soon.

Dana Younce Willis

|
Dana Younce Willis, 47,
Powder Springs passed away Monday, August 10, 2009.
Mrs. Willis was born in Spartanburg, SC and moved to Stow, Ohio in 1964. She graduated from Stow High School in 1980. Mrs. Willis married and moved to Cobb County in 1981. She was Vice President of Willis Tours where she worked with her husband for 28 years. Dana was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, GA. Her father was the late George Younce who was the Legendary Bass Singer for The Catheral Quartet of Stow, Ohio whom she loved and adored with all her heart. Dana lived life to the fullest. She instantly lit up a room with her presence and made all who were there comfortable. Dana is best described as tender hearted, compassionate, and selfless, and a servant to God and others. Her nieces and nephew were the light of her life. She was the rock of her families' life. We Love You Dana, you will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Robbie Willis of Powder Springs; her mother, Clara Younce; three sisters, Gina Younce Eroskey and husband, Rick of Stow, Ohio, Lisa Younce Haase and husband, Ernie of Stow, Ohio, Tara Younce Aidala and husband, Tom of Stow, Ohio; one brother, George Lane Younce and wife, Terri of Powder Springs; two nieces, Morgan Younce and Laci Younce; one nephew, Christian Younce. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 14th at Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Phil Hoskins officiating. Interment will be in Ohio. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory will be handling the arrangements. www.mayeswarddobbins.com

Her Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of her as gone away -
Her journey has just begun
Life holds many facets
The Earth is only one
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
can really pass away
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And she was loved so much.
